Long-Term Protection for the People You Love

A trust is one of the most powerful tools in legacy planning — giving you precise, long-term control over how your assets are managed and distributed, even after you are gone.
Used alongside a will, a trust ensures your wishes are carried out on your terms, for the people and causes that matter most to you.

Trusts for Families and Businesses
Whether you wish to protect your children's inheritance, provide for a loved one with special needs, or ensure a family business passes to the right hands on your terms, a trust gives you the control a will alone cannot.
The Life Legacy consults with you, structures the right arrangement for your circumstances, and manages the process through to finalisation — for both personal and business trust needs.

Our family is deeply grateful to The Life Celebrant team for their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. From the first moment, they guided us gently through every step and filled in the blanks when we had no idea what to do. They anticipated needs we didn’t think of, and created a farewell that was not only dignified, but also deeply meaningful and healing.
Special mention to Ms Michelle Koh, Ms Jamie, JK and the team — your kindness and respect made a very difficult time much lighter to bear. Thank you, TLC.
Frequently Asked Questions About Trusts in Singapore
A will takes effect only upon death and goes through the probate process before assets are distributed. A trust can be set up during your lifetime, operates immediately, and continues after your passing without probate — making distribution faster, more private, and more controlled. The two documents complement each other: a will handles assets outside the trust, whilst the trust manages those placed within it according to your specific instructions.
We work with families and business owners across a range of trust structures — including discretionary family trusts, special needs trusts for beneficiaries requiring long-term care, and business succession trusts designed to protect and transfer a family business. During your initial consultation, we will help you identify which structure best fits your circumstances and objectives.
A trust is worth considering if you have young children and wish to control when and how they receive their inheritance; a family member with special needs requiring ongoing financial support; a business you wish to protect and transfer; or complex assets you want managed with greater privacy and continuity than a will alone provides.
This is one of the most common misconceptions about trusts. Whilst trusts were historically associated with high-net-worth families, they are increasingly accessible and relevant to a much wider range of circumstances. The cost of setting up a trust varies depending on its complexity and structure, and The Life Legacy will always be transparent about what is involved before you commit to anything. If a trust is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you — and help you find the approach that is.
We manage the process from initial consultation through to finalisation — helping you understand your options, structuring the right arrangement for your circumstances, and coordinating with the relevant legal professionals throughout.
Our role is to make trust planning clear, accessible, and fully aligned with your broader legacy plan, including your will, LPA, and funeral pre-planning where relevant. Contact us at +65 6684 8488 or on WhatsApp to get started.
