Our family is deeply grateful to The Life Celebrant team for their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. From the first moment, they guided us gently through every step and filled in the blanks when we had no idea what to do. They anticipated needs we didn’t think of, and created a farewell that was not only dignified, but also deeply meaningful and healing.

Special mention to Ms Michelle Koh, Ms Jamie, JK and the team — your kindness and respect made a very difficult time much lighter to bear. Thank you, TLC.

What Needs to Happen

The death first needs to be verified by the person's doctor or attending medical professional. In a hospital or hospice, the medical team will verify the death and guide you through the next steps with care and sensitivity.

If someone dies at home,

you'll need to contact their doctor. You have the option to care for your loved one at home after they have passed - many families find this meaningful.
We can provide guidance for this, or call TLC so we can bring them into our gentle care whenever you're ready.

If the death was unexpected or requires investigation,

it may be referred to the coroner. We will stand by you and provide guidance if this situation arises, helping you understand the process every step of the way.
