Compassionate Farewell with The Life Celebrant
Cremation is the most widely chosen farewell in Singapore today, and at The Life Celebrant, we are here to ensure that every step of the process is handled with warmth, dignity, and care. Whether cremation is a decision made in advance or one your family is navigating now, we will guide you through it gently and thoroughly — so that you can focus on what matters most.

Government managed
Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium is Singapore's government-managed cremation facility, offering a dignified and respectful environment for the cremation service.
Our team will liaise with Mandai directly on your behalf and manage all scheduling and administrative requirements.

Privately managed
For families who prefer a privately managed facility, options include Bright Hill Crematorium, Tse Tho Aum Crematorium, and Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Temple & Crematorium — each offering a serene environment aligned with different faiths and family preferences.
We will help you understand which is most appropriate for your loved one's religious tradition and your family's wishes.

Post-Cremation Care
Following the cremation service, our team continues to walk alongside you. We assist with the collection of ashes, transportation, and all arrangements for the final resting place.
For families observing post-funeral prayer milestones — such as the 7th, 49th, and 100th-day prayers — we can help coordinate the appropriate memorial arrangements in keeping with your loved one's faith.

They anticipated needs we didn’t think of, and created a farewell that was not only dignified, but also deeply meaningful and healing.

What Families Ask Us About Cremation Services in Singapore
The cremation service typically takes place at one of Singapore's cremation facilities — either Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium (government-managed) or one of the privately managed options such as Bright Hill or Kong Meng San Phor Kark See.
The service involves a final farewell ceremony before the cremation itself takes place, followed by the collection of ashes and inurnment. TLC manages all scheduling, paperwork, and logistics on your behalf from start to finish. The cremation service itself typically takes around 30 minutes. If cremation takes place in the morning, ashes are available for collection the same afternoon. If cremation takes place in the afternoon, ashes will be ready for collection the following day.
Our team will give you a clear timeline once arrangements are confirmed, so you always know what to expect and when. After cremation, families in Singapore have several meaningful options for the final resting place — including placement in a columbarium, sea scattering, land ash scattering, or a personalised memorial from our Eternal Embrace collection, which includes legacy plants, mini urns, ash jewellery, and ash diamonds. Each option carries its own significance, and the right choice is entirely personal.
TLC will walk you through each one carefully and support you in making the decision that feels most fitting for your loved one and your family.Yes. Cremation is compatible with all major religious traditions observed in Singapore — including Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Catholic, Soka, and non-religious services. The funeral or wake service takes place before the cremation, and our team will ensure that all religious rites are observed correctly and with full respect for your family's faith throughout the entire process.
A Place of Serenity

After Cremation: Your Loved One's Final Resting Place
Once the cremation service is complete, TLC will accompany you through the next step — choosing a final resting place that feels right for your family. Options available in Singapore include placement in a columbarium, sea scattering, land ash scattering, a legacy plant, or one of our Eternal Embrace memorial keepsakes.
Each carries its own meaning, and our team will help you explore them without pressure.

A Choice Embraced by Many
Eight in every ten individuals who pass away in Singapore are cremated, making it the most widely chosen farewell in the country.
It is a choice that has grown not only for practical reasons, but because it opens the door to meaningful, personal options for how a loved one is remembered — from a columbarium or sea scattering to a living legacy plant or a treasured keepsake.
A Seamless Process
A cremation service in Singapore can take place in the morning, with the inurnment — the placing of ashes in the urn — following on the same afternoon. Where cremation takes place in the afternoon, inurnment is typically arranged for the following day.
Our team manages the entire process with precision and sensitivity, so that every transition feels smooth and every moment feels purposeful.
